In addition to the amazing wedding on NYE that we attended, we were also able to get in a bunch of time with family as well as take the kids on some fun adventures.
The road trip down to Texas was long but doughnuts make everything better! Especially Krispy Kreme ones!
One of the activities that we did with the kids was taking them to LegoLand in Dallas. It ended up being a bit of a let down because the facility was inside a shopping mall and didn't really have that much to do for the $18 each price tag. The kids still loved it though and there were many tears shed when it was time to leave.
The day of the wedding Tice took the kids to our family's house so that he could get them settled in with the babysitter so I headed to the Galleria for some retail therapy. It was crazy busy that day but it was neat that the holiday decor was still up- this tree in the middle of the ice skating rink was amazing.
Once our time in Dallas came to an end we made sure to get the kids together for some pictures...as you can see my children weren't really into the idea.
Until we finally got a couple good ones!
After leaving Dallas we headed down to Austin for a night to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousin. I begged them to go with us to the original Salt Lick and it did not disappoint. I had been there once before ten years ago with some friends but I had forgotten just how pretty the grounds of the property were.

After a night in Austin we decided to head home and make the entire journey in one day...16 hours later we were finally home and couldn't have been happier.
Already looking forward to going back down there but I don't know if I am ready to do another road trip like that to soon!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
XO,
Bailey
