Growing up in Western Colorado my entire life, it was a bit of shock for my girlfriend Vicky to hear that I had never taken the short 90 minute drive to Moab, Utah to visit Arches National Park and all of the surrounding beauty of the area. Although Vicky lives here now she spent almost two years in Moab living and working so loves heading there any chance she gets. We decided this past weekend was the perfect time for us to escape away for a little girl day.
We left at 6:30 AM and headed straight to Arches National Park where we hiked up to Delicate Arch. We beat all of the crowds, heat, and rain by getting the hike checked off of our list so early in the day. After taking in all of the breath taking scenery of the park, we headed into town for a quick brunch before heading back. All in all the perfect little break which we both needed!
