Recent Happenings...My 35th Birthday Party

I had the best time celebrating my 35th birthday party with a Halloween themed costume party.  It was such a fun group and evening!  Here are some of the best pictures and costumes from the night.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

This year we decided to load up into two different cars and head up to our property to cut down a Christmas tree.  Last year Tice went up on his own so this year was our first cutting one down as a family.  There was almost two feet of snow up there already so we are glad we broke with tradition and headed up a weekend earlier than normal.  The kids loved playing in the snow and it was so beautiful to see the property covered in snow. 

It was just a bit cold up there!

Fit like a glove!  Poor Tice had the drive home with the tree like that for over 2 hours!

Recent Happenings...Vegas

A couple of weekends ago we headed to our favorite adult playground for a long weekend of fun.  We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and then headed to the Forum shops before getting ready for dinner at Sushi Roku.  The meal was good but I preferred Nobu over it.

The next day the weather was warm enough to enjoy shopping at the North Outlets and then Tice and I headed to the pool.  After a couple of cocktails it was time to get ready for dinner.

Since it was National Meatball Day while we were there we headed to Rao's to devour their famous and delicious meatballs for our second dinner that weekend.

On Saturday I went shopping at Fashion Show Mall while Tice golfed with a friend in from out of town.  After shopping I met up with our friends and their friends from out of town for lunch at the Wynn.  The chicken finger appetizer was DELICIOUS and the endless bellinis were nice as well!

Finally for our final dinner we went to the Old Homestead Steakhouse inside Caesar's for our last dinner before heading over to the Wynn to see David Guetta at XS.  We got there early enough that we were in the third row!  He put on an amazing show-  I just love that venue and can't wait to go to more shows over time there.

All in all a wonderful little getaway!

How I Spent My Weekend...Paddle Boarding

On one of the last warm weekends of the summer, some friends of ours and the kids and I went to a local lake with some rented paddle boards and took the idea of Sunday Funday to the next level.  The kids absolutely loved playing on the shores of the lake and taking turns paddling.  All in all it was a wonderful way to close out summer.
