How I Spent...My Weekend in Napa & Sonoma Part 2

After spending a couple of days in Sacramento and Sonoma we headed east to Napa for the remainder of our trip.  As soon as we arrived we headed straight to our hotel, freshened up, and then grabbed an Uber and headed to our first winery of the day, Silver Oak.  I had been there before and although it is very pretty my favorite part is their glass enclosed wine cellar.
I mean...come on!

After Silver Oak we headed to Peju which was just ok and then grabbed a picnic lunch along with a ton of other people at V. Sattui.  After those two places we headed to Mumm and had a great time tasting their bubbly.  They sat us down kind of like a dinner reservation and then they came with the tasting to the table.  It was a fun experience!

After Mumm we headed to Silverado Winery.  The view was incredible!

Once we finished wine tasting we went back to the hotel so that we could freshen up before heading to dinner in downtown Napa at Celadon.  The restaurant was tucked down an alley which was covered in vines...magical, especially at night when the lights came on.

For starters we enjoyed the calamari which I will be dreaming about for some time!  We also enjoyed this amazing dipping sauce to be enjoyed with bread as well as the Pork Belly and Soba noodles.  Everything was so good!

For my entree I had the scallops with a riced potato risotto.  The texture of the potato risotto reminded that the potatoes where fully cooked and the scallops were over salted which for me to remark on means they must have been REALLY over salted so that was disappointing but overall the meal was wonderful.
After dinner we walked down the alley a bit further and discovered this beautiful water feature!

Once we had walked a bit we headed to a bar with a fab rooftop called Ninebark.  It was so fun!

Our last day was Saturday so before we checked out of the hotel we headed to the spa and enjoyed a wonderful massage before heading a great little Mexican restaurant called the Red Hen.  All in all a wonderful little getaway that I can't wait to make become an annual thing! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
